Possible Weaknesses Found in HIV Virus

Here's a little bit of interesting HIV research information:  

Researchers at the Ragon Institute have found a possible "Achilles heel" in the HIV virus by looking at people whose bodies naturally resist the virus.

Importantly, they found that these people's immune systems, unlike our own, focus specifically on attacking a certain part of the HIV virus called "Gag sector 3." 

"Gag sector 3" helps to form a protective shell around the virus, protecting it from being destroyed by our immune system or vaccines.

What does this mean? The researchers want to design a vaccine that makes specific, "surgical strikes against Gag sector 3 and other similar regions of the HIV virus."
