Moveable Feast is going GREEN

Check out this article from AFRO, "City Awards Funds to Non-Profits for Energy Efficiency" - about how the Community Energy Savers Grant Program awarded a large grant that will help our building go green.

HEBCAC, which did the ten-year renovation project on our building, received $46,000, one of the larger grants awarded through the program. The money will be used to "upgrade the HVAC system, insulation, replace old light bulbs with high efficiency bulbs, and install solar shades...There are 60 pretty large windows than can drain a lot of energy."

Moveable Feast is housed in the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Community Center, a historic location at 901 N. Milton Avenue.
